Gender Mainstreaming

The Congress of African Journalists (CAJ) was launched on 23 June 2020 to respond to the increasing challenges facing journalists in Africa, which at the time also included Covid-19, which compounded the already daunting challenges and impacts on press freedom, the safety of journalists, freedom of expression and access to information.
